I don't have any protection. My phone fell down once on asphalt (because my headphones were connected weirdly and my backpack pulled it out of my pocket), the screen is slightly cracked but now it won't crack anymore
I don't use screen protectors, but do use a slim case. Not just for protection, but for grip. Without a case I just feel like my S21 will slip out of my hands instantly. The case makes it far easier to hold.
Case and (glass) screen protector. The phone itself is in perfect condition. The screen protector has scratches. No protection plan or anything like that...
I have an exuberant 3 year old (child, the phone itself is 4) my phone has taken a couple of flights off the second floor balcony. Otterbox and screen protector, no scratches!
I have never used a screen protector on a phone. Also never spent more than 400euros on a phone. Currently use a OP Nord 2 with a case. I think it's the official sandstone case. I bought the phone in Oct 2021 and it has some micro scratches on the screen. No other issues.
I’ve been case free on all my devices since the iPhone SE 1st gen. Tons of scratches and dings. But I prefer the way it feels in my hand and pocket, and it just works. If the scratches are too much, I get a replacement screen or device… which isn’t often
I've got a Poco X4 Pro with a glass screen protector and a Spigen rugged armour case. I drop my phone often and as far as I can tell, it's still in excellent condition
Pixel 5 with no case, matte screen protector mainly for low friction even on damp fingers, no protection plan (saves money), pristine condition (I don't drop my phone). The only damage it ever gets is poor battery life so I usually get it swapped after a few years. This one I've only had for a year so far but I had the Pixel 2 for 5 years before that and it went through a couple battery replacements. It was still in pristine condition when I had to switch to the 5 because even a fresh install of lineage was giving me "system ui stopped responding" and other buggy junk constantly :(
Off topic, but the Pixel 2 was such a beautiful phone. I miss the metal back with the glass cap — the camera bump of the newer ones is less aesthetically appealing to me.
I paid $200 for an iPhone SE about 5 years ago, then put the phatest case I could find and a tempered glass screen protector on it. It's practically in mint condition besides 3 battery replacements, and I can use it one handed!
I use a screen protector and case. I tend to drop and scratch phones so it's for the best. No protection plan though. I should replace the screen protector as it started peeling on one corner a few months back.
