What abstract names do you have for God?
Jocular ones are welcome too (and no doubt inevitable), but I’m looking more for “sensible” ones. Some examples:
- Unmoved Mover
- Great Universal Mind
- Undifferentiated Aesthetic Continuum
- Ground Of Being

MonsieurArchi, Nicholas Cage
epsilons, Russian @MonsieurArchi @spitz н3 и чо?
th3rdsergeevich, Russian
chahk, Imaginary friend
Ravi, 404
StorageB, The big dog
Jeezo
hoodlem, “Divinity”. “Source”
meanmon13, Transdimentional space alien
CeruleanRuin, Asshole
Deadbeat Allfather
Holey Ghost
Sky Wizard
Santa Claus
xeddyx, ET
quinnly, I like Bo Burnham’s titles (both from the song Rant):
“The Blue-balled Anti-masturbator” and “The Great All-loving F*ggot-hater”
Edit: the instance removed the hate speech (which I was simply quoting and don’t condone) so I censored it
apotheotic, Dave
plasticbuddha, The Great Non-Being
shinigamiookamiryuu, I mean, I do technically feel all of these names implied when talking about God, but none of them I “call” God. I guess “supreme being” would do it, I use that often even in church. I’m surprised your list doesn’t have the likes of “grand unified theory”, “the great white hole”, “the sun”, “sol invictus”, “the man behind the pixels”, “time incarnate”, or “Morgan Freeman”.
davefischer, al-Aḥad (“The One”) is nice. It’s one of the 99 names of God given in the Qur-an. Coincidently, it’s close to my younger cat’s nickname: “One” (short for “Little One”).
thelsim,
- Random Chance
- Cause and Effect
Depending on the situation I guess.
I think, otherwise, the only time I invoke a higher power is when I swear :)
scorpious, The Big Lie.
