@theronconrey Our goal is for all laptops to ship with Fedora at some point, but whether and how we get there is a different story. 😅

The reason we're posting direct links to configs is because it's confusing to find the Linux options on Lenovo's websites - you have first hand experience. As part of partnering with them we're trying to increase visibility in the short and long term with our Fedora Compatible Devices project (more to come).
@fedora Does Fedora or GNOME get something if you choose to preload with Fedora? I don't really see how them installing Fedora for you is worth 25 quid on its own?

The big benefit of this is you send a really clear signal to companies like Lenovo that Linux demand is real. At the moment market numbers show Linux is 1% - and fighting to invest in supporting Linux and having more Linux is really really hard.
The Linux team here gets supported by those contributions - and at the moment I can't grow the team as sales are low.
If desktop Linux on consumer devices is important to you....
