Today is a warm and sunny day here. I am testing a new way to deal with the pathways of the vegetable garden.
Instead of using living pathways that are not easy to maintain, I am collecting the too many weeds that are growing in our area and then chopping them finely and dropping them in the pathways. They will dry out and turn into browns that will be digested. Then I keep layering on top of the brown layer.
I would like in the long run for those pathways to be a cold composting area and be able to shovel that compost back into the beds.
I would like to use our yard waste exclusively for this purpose.
