@strypey I think some headway could be made on the way orgs compromise their #Twitter & #Facebook presence. When an org does not consider total twtr/fb abandonment as an option, a good middle ground is to get them to at least remove the twtr & fb links from their public facing websites. The essay simply suggests orgs stop using twtr as a “default” w/out detailing what that means.
@strypey I’m overwhelmed by the number of sites that seem to be on the right side as far as digital rights, humanity & freedom goes but then they still refuse to shake free of fb/twtr links on their public sites. Even the EFF has them (last time i checked). No apology, no excuses, just crickets from these orgs. It puts me off donating & i wonder how much their bottom line is really helped.
