Just a quick and dirty userscript to add some features I feel are super important. I'll probably look into creating some real PRs, but I figure the devs are probably in "put out fires" mode right now....

It is the most unsatisfying feature on kbin....

I would like to know if I can feel safe here, or if I should pack it up and start looking elsewhere sooner rather than later....

Looks like we've had a wave of porn bots hit recently. Screenshot is a sampling of what's popping up on my threads feed when sorted by new....

I notice on a lot of mags, there is one or two people posting, and either 0, a handful, or quite a bit of upvotes, but no one is really engaging, most the time there are 0 comments....

You can turn it off in your options (for privacy).

I really loved @FixedFun 's idea for the kbin mascot, so I decided to refine it a bit and make some color alternatives. All credit to them for this wonderful idea! I merely refined it. Note, the circles beside the logo are just a color pallete swatch, not actually meant to be apart of the logo....

Is there any way to hide posts in other languages? My homepage is filled with German posts, which would be great if I spoke German...

On KBin we have the ability to add tags to posts. These can either be directly added using the “pound” sign octothorpe, as in #KbinMeta. You can also add tags using the “Tags” field when creating an article, link, or photo. The second method will append the tags to the end of the post when the post is federated....

like on reddit, comments on posts from the OP have a [S]. Would be cool if we could get an indicator of who the OP is without having to check usernames etc.

Apparently one of the lemmy.ml admins was overzealous in banning all User-Agent strings that contained the word "bot". Bans were entered for all of the individual strings containing that word which were observed in their webserver logs, which impacted kbin's reported agent of "kbinBot"....
