RecluseRamble, I’m not sure. Are the stairs downstairs so short that you couldn’t have distributed the height of the three weird steps among them? If not, you’d have an even floor upstairs.
AA5B, Maybe not. Building code requires the steps to be consistent and I’m pretty sure there’s a maximum steepness.
Obviously we don’t know the history but I bet this was their best “make it fit” solution when the correct way would be expensive
