@sammstormborn honestly I haven’t. I might give it a go at some stage, I don’t think I have forgiven them yet for Yennefers character arc. I have read all the books and love her portrayal in the game. Anya Chalotra is a brill actress but they did her a dirty, in my eyes
@doctorpepper yeah, same. That second season - oof. I hated nearly everything they did. I will say, I’m really glad I gave S3 a go. It’s my favorite so far. I think it does justice to the books and characters. And they’re using the wicked talented actors they have so well.
@sammstormborn oh that sounds more promising then! All the more shame that they chased away Cavil. I find it difficult to get past the complete charavter reversal of Yen. Like book and game Yen would NEVER do anything to put Ciri in danger, even personal gain. Being her mama was what she had always wanted. The show did her a dirty
@doctorpepper Seriously - I’m utterly broken we’re not getting Cavil’s Geralt’s hanza. Legit my favorite thing in the series. I was so looking forward to Cavil and Farren (Cahir) acting opposite one another. Exactly - I hated that. Yen would NEVER have done that. & the only reason that seemingly stopped her was Ciri being “special.” I feel like Yen wouldn’t have done that to ANY child, regardless if they were special or not.
@doctorpepper that’s kinda how I’m doing it - this is my last season watching. I mean, do I think S3 has a few issues? Sure. (My main complaint is costumes and hair). But I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. I think they’re really embodying the story and characters. If you do watch, I hope you enjoy it!
