I just got a “survey” from DSCC asking about how Biden can do better literally less than an hour ago…
Took the time to fill it out, was all bullshit like:
Do you want to save America from trump?
Yes!
no.
Still went thru it, after 3 questions of that quality, it went to a donation page with a two minute unskippable clock.
I waited the two minutes, and the clock just started over at 2 minutes again. There was no way to submit the incredibly brief and stupid survey, at least not without donating money to Biden.
And I fully expect the results of that survey to show up soon, talking about how Biden has unanimous support from “voters” when their sample was people who give Biden money.
Biden doesn’t give a fuck what voters think, he just wants money.
It’s the shit that even just five years ago I’d only think republicans would pull.
“Literally anybody else” sounds pretty decent these days.
I’ll be honest, it took a couple minutes to decide if I should bother. I get the donation texts all the time and ignore them now.
But it’s a legit part of the Dem party doing it, and I legit believe honest feedback is important.
So I tried to take the survey.
And found out it was just trying to condition people into a state they would be likely to donate, then take them to a donation page with a bullshit timer and big text telling you time is of the essence.
I got a psych degree, I know how that shit works.
And an older person in a rush using a webpage on their phone would panic and not think things thru before donating.
It’s fucked up when we keep seeing examples of trump doing it, and everyone seems to agree with me, and calls trump a grifter.
Biden does it, and suddenly it’s a ridiculous assumption that Biden would be remotely involved…

I’ve donated and voted straight ticket for 20 years. And it has not been helping the country or even just the party.

If the Democratic party is disguising donation solicitation as surveys, using psychology to condition someone into being willing to donate, and creates a false sense of urgency (and high default, $200), then it’s perfectly valid to bitch about it.

You really quickly lost the veneer of respectability here. You got too greedy and showed your hand. You see the plan goes you poke at the small kernel of truth, and when someone brings up your candidate who is by all accounts far worse, you play along and agree with this person. You can’t win a direct comparison, so don’t try. You just have to whittle away at the hope for a better future until you get what you want!

No matter who wins, 2/3 of the country won’t like it.
That isn’t democracy, it’s the illusion of choice. Presented to us by two private political organizations with zero accountability who can run anyone they want and who work together to ensure there is no other option.
I can’t say you’re wrong, but is there a person who more than 50% of citizens would actually be happy to vote for? The options we’re presented aren’t great, and I’m certain a better one could be chosen. But reaching a full 50%+ seems like a tall order in the current political environment.
I don’t see a problem with Biden. Everyone screams Gaza but there’s been no peace in the middle east for 50+ years. So Biden approved some weapon purchases that he could have blocked. 4 years and one decision I don’t like? That’s a good record.
I don’t want a President on the news everyday. If the President is in the news, he’s not doing a good job. The past 4 years have been fine.
