@wendigo oh nice I hadn't heard of those haha. I used to use notepad and Dreamweaver years ago 🤣 I know VS is the standard but there's always just been something about it I didn't like. Using Brackets has been nice and smooth - love that it's not Microsoft too, I'm so done with their newer stuff.
@wendigo oh HELL YES. In IMAX too! Gonna be amazing. I probably won't see it in theaters but I will when it comes out. Wifey is not a fan haha. But I do think she will go with me for The Day the Earth Blew Up, which should be coming later this year and I'm psyched for cuz I'm a cartoon nerd 🤣

@wendigo haha true. Last year we went to the Mario movie on or around my birthday.. There's not a lot that comes out that I wanna see lately- we always see Star Wars and Deadpools in theaters though haha
@jake4480 Well, the theaters are now viewing older movies. This month I'm going to see 'The Fugitive', 'The Shawshank Redemption', and 'Chinatown' in addition to Kong and Dune 2. Maybe 'The Beekeeper', too.
@skullvalanche@wendigo I bet that one's cool in theaters. I took my kid to see Dark Crystal when it came back to theaters a couple years back and he LOVED it. He was like "why don't they make movies like this anymore?" and I was like, I dunno, man. haha
@skullvalanche@wendigo I didn't either. But it wasn't for not loving it. It was beautiful and I loved it but the end was gonna be so sad, I don't do sad stuff if I can help it haha
@wendigo@skullvalanche 😂 well, yeah, that, and my extreme depression. Helps not to aggravate it if I can help it. My moods are totally out of control sometimes hahaha. Yeah, I can deal with gore or anything super nasty but legit sad stuff can really affect me.
@wendigo@skullvalanche ha! Well, same there. Yeah, I even avoid sad/negative songs if I can. Anything to avoid extreme mood dips. Some days, it's just inevitable, minimizing it is key.
@jake4480 Indeed it is. I think I have a higher threshold than you, but on the other hand I have to be very, very careful about relationships. It's certainly the main reason why I've never been married or had children. My last relationship was with someone I knew well, and it was online / phone (because she insisted on it), and it turns out she didn't give a shit about me. I didn't take it well. At any rate, I'm always here to talk because there isn't much I haven't been through myself.
@wendigo oh wow yeah. I've struggled with this crap since I was like 13 or 14, it's been 30 fucking years this year, I'm tired haha. But yeah the strong meds I'm on I take at night, they help a TON. And then the.. other 'meds' during the day. hahaha
@wendigo oh and it SUCKS about your last relationship. I've had some shitty ones too haha. Some okay ones, but for a while it felt like it was just every two years, I could never keep anything longer than 2 years til the first marriage (7) and now 10. My 20s were so nuts. And to some degree, 30s. It's been a long digging out process hahaha. Takes a WHILE to find the right person. And it weirds me out to think that if I'd never moved to AZ, maybe it would have never happened.
@wendigo ha! For real. Not much messes with my stomach ever but these meds sure do. I didn't connect it for a long time, I just thought I was feeling weird/crappy during the day, but it's like this SICKNESS, from your center, almost indigestion but it's awful and it lasts and lasts.. figured out the night thing. Some people it might even keep awake. Not for me. I pass out. haha. Couldn't function during the day feeling that sick
@jake4480 As far as the relationship goes, I appreciate it, bro. My meds are completely cool. Not many side effects at all except that I still don't sleep well, no matter what I take. A couple of others that I would be embarrassed to discuss with ANYONE... ;>)
@wendigo ha! I know about those other effects and they're pretty much across the board (sigh) even the stuff I'm on - it's LESS but still some. I've been on and off like 4 or 5 other ones before the one I'm on- it's for people who are "resistant" haha. Sucks about sleeping too. My issue is I never wake up feeling rested, I feel pretty awful for an hour or two but then it gets better. Wifey has trouble going to sleep and staying asleep. I always have to get her to sleep first though, I snore haha
@jake4480 Amen. Speaking to the choir, brother. I'm more like your wife, sleep wise. But, I also feel pretty rotten when I wake up. Takes me a couple of hours to really get my shit together. Music really helps, and I've really enjoyed all of your suggestions first thing in the early hours... Cheers!
@wendigo same! Yeah, music helps haha. I get her ready and out the door then I CRANK it haha. I know you had a bad experience with STP - I've been listening to them on and off for the last weeks, I finally have my favorites playlist for them done. Songs from every album, I have 24. Would make a perfect 2-disc album with 12 tracks each haha. Left off some of their big early hits- I like how they got weirder and more psychedelic almost instantly haha

@wendigo haha true. It's a wild mix, only ONE song from that first album, not one of the big hits. But then a ton from the later ones. Something from every Weiland album. Even some from that last one they did. Hickory Dichotomy is SO Bowie it's hilarious
@chadarius awesome! I did use Libre MANY years ago, I must've not grabbed it again when I switched computers one of the times haha. It's great to use it again. And Brackets just feels so intuitive, and clean, the UI is similar but I find it MUCH better.
