@LALegault Not here. It’s been part of the fediverse culture going way back, and I know blind users really appreciate that. (Have met one in person, in fact, and it had a big impact on me.)
@misc Alt text is nice, but if I’m on my phone, I’m probably not gonna be able to read it anyhow. Likewise, I try to cut other people some slack because I know that if they’re on a phone it can be extremely cumbersome to edit alt text.
@misc Sometimes the post itself is the alt text - see the Ryan Gosling as geese for example. Sometimes I can’t explain exactly what is on the photo in English. Or describe the gif. I try tho. But I’m not going after people who won’t. I won’t boost one that is a photo of a text and no alt. But I’m more lax with actual pictures.
