@RL_Dane What comes to mind is CLI browsers like lynx. You can make a firefox profile with javascript disabled. Invidious or cloudtube work without javascript if I remember correctly.

I used to use #NoScript years ago, but haven't in a really long time.

I do use w3m a lot and really like it. links is a bit more advanced, but its keybindings aren't configurable (that I've been able to discover, anyway). w3m is not quite as good at rendering various types of pages (although it is better than lynx), but its incredibly configurable, and I've got mine set up with some very nice vi-style keybinds.

I use the http://wayback-classic.net interface for the Wayback Machine as it's faster and less buggy (because of no fancy JS).

Actually, lots of search engines work fine without JS, including DDG, mojeek, and even G**Gle! :o

Yep, I use it every day. :D

I even have a script called "duck" which tries to pick the best text-based browser and converts your search to a DDG url. :)

w3m most of the time, sometimes xlinks when I want to see images.
w3m does support images, but it's pretty flaky and flickery. xlinks is x11, so it works much better.

w3m has much more flexible keybindings, though. That's what I love about it.
