Janio Quadros, briefly President of Brazil in the 1960s, was a notorious drinker. Asked why he drank alcohol, he replied "I drink it because it is liquid; if it was solid, I would eat it."
Some studies have shown that smoking alcohol may lead to a condition called "Fire Lungs", which occurs when inhaled alcohol combusts inside the lungs, building up pressure, searing the alveoli and causing large trails of flames to erupt from the mouth, rendering the lungs completely useless.
