I wonder if smart phones have increased sales of good cameras.

I never took pictures before smart phones and doing so has made me aware of how smart phones fall short of what real cameras can do.

@beforewisdom I think overall dedicated cameras are less popular today. Smartphones are just too convenient and the low-end of compact cameras has very little to offer over phones today and that’s good enough for most people.

It’s also a cost issue. You basically have to have a smartphone today and spending the same amount or more again on a camera is hard to justify.
