@lowqualityfacts new users (read: neoliberals who want you to vote Biden and never, ever 3rd party) flooded into mastodon over the last 2 years and brought their... arguments and demands with them, leading to attempts to build bigger arguments and schisms into the more chilled out mastodon communities. They really weren't here much 2018-2020, but now they are here thanks to Musk....
@lowqualityfacts Your one of the best things about this place. I just wish there were more people posting consistently excellent content like you. I'm probably not going to step up, but I really appreciate your work.
@lowqualityfacts i like the chris rock line in dogma that goes sorta like “i think it’s better to have ideas than beliefs” and his reasoning was that it’s harder to change a belief. this leaves ideas re: mutability. i think you do have an idea but it’s not quite fully realized. not saying you’re aiming to invent the lightbulb, but you are reasonably demarcated by your style, sense of humor, and conveniently for my say here: you often present disclaimers. see dogma disclaimer re: platypus :)
@lowqualityfacts Those t-shirts that have the Joy Division album art but say Depeche Mode seem to sell well, so maybe there's a market for LQF t-shirts.
joke ‘em if they can’t take a fuck. too many people seem to think they’re the masters of us all and we’re required to obey their every whim. sadly, many of them are utter idiots.
