Late, because I'm lazy, but, with a year to go, I thought I'd start a series of Glasgow Worldcon related "facts" to help those coming from afar to prepare.
So, first off, Glasgow in 2024 will be the third Glasgow Worldcon. Edinburgh has never had any and this is yet more proof that Glasgow is better.
More as I think of them.

A bonus one for today as I attempt to set a baseline.
In Glasgow you are never more than ten feet from a haggis but they are shy creatures and, as at previous Worldcons, the city council will keep them away from attendees with Irn Bru baited traps.

An improvement over the last Worldcon in Glasgow is that there is now a distillery next to the exhibition centre.
It is estimated that serious injuries to writers attending will jump by 57.9% due to this fact, but that none of the people suffering those injuries will complain.

Scotland is well known for its ancient carved standing stones but it should be noted that many important documents are still written in stone to this day and attendees at Worldcon next year should reinforce their pockets accordingly.
Here, for instance, is a stone erected by my cousin, Kenneth, in Barrhead that sets out how many pints of milk he'd like delivered each morning.
