@georgetakei I go to a nude beach daily with lots of families there that have no American hang ups. There's nothing sexual about it, just people enjoy nature the nature intended.

@georgetakei Yeah, well, sex is kind of fundamental to life. Without it none of us would be here. Better get used to it.
I wonder what state they were in. In a number of states including New York and Utah it's legal for women to go topless, so I would assume breastfeeding is fine.
@georgetakei Some Americans really need to get over their obsession with boobs. In most parts of Europe it's perfectly normal to breastfeed your baby wherever you are.
Never had any issues when breastfeeding mine.
@georgetakei I don’t see the problem. Was with my daughter at a playground a few weeks back and she just started feeding her baby. It is natural and innocent and mothers should be left in peace, when they are feeding their babies.
The babies need feeding, when they need feeding.
My theory is the Bible teaches that the thought of sex is the sin (Matthew 5:28), so the person takes offense at their own natural intrusive thought and then blames the other person.
Breast feeding is natural. Where would many of us be without it? So, too, is discreetly doing in public.
What's unnatural is walking past someone on the beach three times in order to film and share it on social media. It's straight from a scifi film about how to identify "them!" It's a miserable excuse to sell outrage for would be fame. But it has SFA to do with breastfeeding.
Neither breastfeeding/bottle feeding or whether to breast feed in public is controversial. If you can, breastfeeding is best, but fed is better. Making sure the baby is fed is more important, whether its by bottle or breast.
Breastfeeding is literally what breasts are for - if baby's hungry mum needs to feed them. Puritans and deviants obsessed with controlling other people's bodies can look away. No four year old finds breastfeeding shocking. Only the adult is sexualising it.

If they wanted to throw a fit, it should be about male nipples. Those only ever serve a sexual purpose, never a baby-feeding purpose. Since male-nipples are 100% erogenous, those are the nipples, if any, that should be kept out of public view. ;)

It should be illegal everywhere to film or take pictures of strangers, period. (It is illegal in Switzerland.) Posting it online is even worse.
TikTok (🤢 ) "mom" finds seeing a child receiving nourishment disgusting, but nonetheless posts the event to FB for what... to gross out her followers? Or just get a lot of reactions and shares???
