@bigcalm what’s wrong with wanting normal rather than big phones is: there aren’t enough of us. I can understand why the big players don’t think we’re a market worth serving. I do not understand why a smaller player hasn’t decided they want to own this market. Even if the mini is only a couple of percent of Apple’s sales, and that isn’t enough for Apple or Samsung, it would be an unbelievable fountain of cash for any smaller company.
@fmo@bigcalm this is possible indeed! Since I’m currently using an Apple phone I suspect my next choice will be android, but if there’s honestly only big android phones then that will definitely affect my opinion!
@sil@bigcalm I think the only "small" recent Android phone at the moment is the Azus Zenfone 10 but they are not great with updates, and also their notion of small is like a Pixel 5 so still bigger that the iPhone mini
