@randahl@anildash It is better but I still cannot search all of my own posts from a 3rd party app like Ivory easily (unless I’m missing something). Perhaps this is now possible on the web though.
@gedeonm it does work for me. If you look at this screen shot, you will see I am using Ivory, and the search query in the top delivered two results. @anildash
@randahl@anildash Well I must be doing or using Ivory wrong then. I get no results when searching for terms from myself. Would you possibly mind recording the screen as you perform such a search so I can see how you are doing it? If it’s too much of a pain I understand
@randahl Yep, that’s what I’m trying to do. How are you searching just your own posts? Are you using qualifying language in the search or are you starting the search from your profile view or…. ?
@timrichards I still think hashtags are cool, because they are instantly clickable, and people can subscribe to hashtags, mute hashtags, and hashtags can form words that do not even exist in the dictionary, such as a hashtag related to an event, a tv show etc.
@randahl Oh wow they finally implemented a feature that QOTO has had for years, in the same way QOTO implemented it, and when we did it everyone got mad and blocked us... Now everyone has the feature.. oh the irony.

I just tried searching for a plausible term, and I can find matching profile names, but cannot find posts containing the term. Is that how it is supposed to work?
@n1xnx if I search for "sevastopol" using the Ivory app or the default app, I get many posts about attacks on the Crimean city of Sevastopol.
Which app are you using?
I tried it and found one, but there may just not be others in my feed. The match was against a raw word versus a hashtag though, so it does seem to be working in Fedilab.
