Seriously though, it's cathartic to make jokes about the GOP and they make it so, so damn easy but this latest debacle and their response to it of blaming Democrats for McCarthy getting fired worries me quite a bit.
It's quite possible that they won't be able to elect a new Speaker and I'm not sure where that leaves us let alone the Ukrainians.
We may have to use discharge petitions to run our government through our House until the 119th Congress. Regrettably, I don't know if rules allow it?

Exactly what I'm worried about. Has the GOP found yet another loophole that they think they can use to overthrow American democracy which is why we need for social and mainstream media to try to make it crystal clear that this clown show is 100% caused by Republicans.
@GreenFire@KimPerales Actually that’s a great idea. Let John Paul Jones or whatever his name is continue as temp Speaker and use discharge petitions. Not bad.
