What I love about Silicon Valley venture capitalists is that that they love being loud and wrong. If I had spent the last few years shilling crypto as the next big thing in tech only for a bunch of my portfolio companies to turn out to be Ponzi schemes & grifts, I’d never write publicly again.

Minor note, his "next big thing" companies in crypto/web3 were designed to be stock fraud right from the start and he knew it, but if the SEC ever bothered to enforce the laws it would go after the companies not A16Z, which already took their money by dumping the tokens on retail suckers but didn't commit the actual crimes involved.
