@codinghorror Our diets are killing us at younger and younger ages. We have children with fatty liver disease. Something unheard of 40 years ago. We eat too damn much ultra processed food. Fewer people know how or want to prepare healthy meals at home anymore. These are just a few of the scary trends today.
@codinghorror capitalism is going to crash and burn. Things are beginning to bottom out, and once the upward trajectory stops, it will cause our economy to fall into a depression.
@codinghorror I wonder what links USA, UK, and Italy - in the graph in the article, all have suffered drops in life expectancy recently, unlike other countries.
