@verge this is slowly becoming a farce. Just leave it alone. Which user should want to go to such lengths just to use a copy of an Apple service on an Android device? Absurd.

@bricks @verge Quite the farce indeed. When their workarounds involve having easy and regular access to a Mac and now an iPhone, I mean, you might as well use the damn thing to send legitimate iMessages.

But in a way, I'm sad they're already giving up. It was really entertaining and gave the world some insights into how iMessage works.

@bricks @verge Supposing Beeper had effectively found a foolproof way, there were other ways out.
Such as making an Android client for iMessage and make it a subscription that could be priced under or for the same price as Beeper's iMessage.
Or include it in one of their bundles.

Just to move the needle and shake things up a little.
