And guess what? People that buy on GOG are generally pretty happy with their user experience. Heck, pirating a game is more annoying than installing it through GOG because the downloading process is more involved, and pirates probably just ship the GOG installer right in already. GOG is what buying games should feel like in 2023
But NO, you need to buy your games in the walled garden, and they need to be tethered to the Elastic Band of Disappointment™️ that is called internet
@lexd0g
Reminds me of a recent trio of Louis Rossmann vids, if capitalists' are intent on making paying the worse option we should, in the spirit of the free market, go elsewhere :blobfoxhappy:
@lexd0g when are game stores gonna put limitations on whether or not you can have a bullshit extra launcher layer before playing games you buy. i feel like with a de-facto monopoly and "pls i give u 2 billion can u put jame on here" they can at least use that power to strongarm shittier devs
@lexd0g@ipg I remember when the experience of buying and playing a game on Steam was better than piracy… never need to find the burned discs or the right external hard drive, just download it again and you’re good. It was nice.
