I do NOT have confidence in these systems. Not at the highest levels. I've seen too many things that should have been slam-dunk nobrainers, twisted into grotesque nightmares that are causing incredible suffering to millions. I'm not sure we're allowed to have real justice, anywhere. The corruption is so pernicious, everywhere.
I have a bad feeling Israel wouldn't have showed up to the court at all-- they usually dismiss this stuff as simply 'invalid'-- without some reason to believe it'll go their way.
Too much is at stake for the war profiteers, the most powerful and dangerous people on earth, to just let the right thing happen on their watch.
That's a good point about them showing up and why. And I have no delusional thought that justice will be done. But I can't believe they'll say anything other than this is a genocide. Maybe I'm still naive and too hopeful. I have to believe that they accepted the case because they see merit
