@MLE_online this happened to us once. Pepper spent a month looking in the corner where the mouse was, hoping it was still hiding. Although she didn’t yell about it. (Yelling is reserved for people going to bed at the wrong time. And it’s unclear what the right rime is.)

@MLE_online last time I had a cat catch a mouse, I found out in the middle of a 48-hour hacking exam. Sometime around 2am, I stepped on something wet and squishy that was kindly left next to my desk. I thought the cat puked, so I hobbled over to the kitchen for some paper towels and turned on the lights to find the back half of a mouse sticking to the bottom of my foot.

Finding them alive is a much preferred option.

@MLE_online @smellsofbikes This reminds me of when I catch and release a bug or spider that my kitter finds. She will spend 20+ minutes trying to find the bug/spider after it's gone.
