Great. So the hacked toothbrush "story" was referenced during the Listener Limerick Challenge segment on this week's Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!. Since the show was taped on Thursday, no corrections or edits were included to correct the story.
I'm adding a note to the entry for this week's show on the Stats Page.
@bengerman I hated how fast the story spread and how long it took for other folks to catch on that it was a made up scenario. Even folks like Tom Lawrence posted on one of their socials and took a while for them to correct, but not take down their original post.
I had to press pause in Audacity, add the note in the Stats database, then posted on my socials (and tagging them in IG), before continuing on.
