Looks like Reddit management has seamlessly transitioned from the "fuck around" phase of running Reddit to the "find out" phase, and yet so far missed that fact. 🍿
@rysiek@kcarruthers I think they're just looking at metrics and not realizing that subs forced back open are being filled with random shit like pictures of John Oliver looking sexy (/r/funny and /r/gifs)/artistic (/r/art), water vapor and applications thereof (/r/steam), and long videos of random noise
@rysiek For well over a decade, I spent serious time on Reddit each day. Even after I got a permanent ban (the comment was about the climate catastrophe: "If the law does not protect the people, the people must take the law into their own hands"), I still browsed anonymously almost every day.
I haven't been there since the boycott started and I won't be back. The management is so, so, so arrogant and evil.
(The CEO moderated r/jailbait, a CSAM subreddit, for years.)
