thomasfuchs, 11 months ago @bastilian I think for social media Mastodon and clients could be just like that, especially if larger proprietary services add ActivityPub support. There’s like a few people here and there that I’d love to keep up with. I don’t understand why so many people on Mastodon are so eager to be gatekeepers.

matt, 11 months ago @thomasfuchs I use #matrix for this, and the #mautrix #facebook bridge, it works well. I've never had any problems and it just updates itself (#docker) I also bridge into other networks like #irc, #signal, #sms, etc
