    @nextcloud cool, I tried upgrading about a month or two ago but none of the add-ons I use worked 😕 so I rolled back, i'm sure that's just me being too keen tho 😊 Its looking really good, keep up the good work everybody at

    @nextcloud its ok, i'm sure it's because it was beta at the time I tried, I will try in a bit, in the admin panel it says that all apps are compatible now 👍

    For anybody wondering what the Mastodon security issue is - CVE-2023-36460, you can send a toot which makes a webshell on instances that process said toot.

    I know I’m late to this but admins committing to block and their new activitypub project before even seeing what it is or how it will work is short sighted and petty. Moves like this will hurt federation as a whole.

    These moves could bring more people into this ecosystem who otherwise would know nothing about it.

    If it happens and it’s a disaster fine, but to reject it out of hand?

    @cdlhamma i agree with this, i think it's a good thing for all networks to support , i'm not going to block them from my own instance and even know i don't have a say with other networks it would be good for the users. i have been disappointed with closed networks for years, the ones without an api, or a crippled one, it just means i don't talk to people on those networks

    @thomasfuchs I use for this, and the bridge, it works well. I've never had any problems and it just updates itself () I also bridge into other networks like , , , etc

    Ughh... :sad_cat: Thought I could save some storage money by deleting all remote media older than 90 days on 2 instances but those actions plus the normal media uploading is way too much for Wasabi to handle it seems

    Somehow I've a feeling that if added an automatic spam prevention tool that worked similarly to Pixelfed's, that everyone would be up in arms about it because machine learning and privacy and algorithms and oh my.

    @thisismissem I was thinking more along the lines of allowing spam to be filtered from somebody's feed, if I enable a spam filter posts wont be displayed to me that are detected as spam? Filtering on the sending side will be hard as people will just find a host that doesn't enforce it, or setup their own
