For years I thought of "I'm Still Standing" as later Elton John (which it was) but I looked it up a while back and it was 1983, only 8 years after his last hits. At the time that was considered a comeback though, things changed must faster back then.
I do this all the time, all kinds of things where an artists enters a new phase of their career. "Southern Accents" is later Tom Petty and "Wildflowers" is fairly recent. '85 and '94.
@billyjoebowers There could be something in that, actually. The other example that springs to mind for me is Blondie - Maria, which came out in ‘99, 17 years after their previous track.
