    Not that anyone asked, but I’ve been using an Ottocast Wireless CarPlay adapter for about a month and am pretty happy with it. Nice to not always have to plug in.

    Worth a look if you have a car that shipped with wired-only CarPlay.

    Note that I was not at all happy with it until I unpaired my phone from the direct non-CarPlay Bluetooth connection to the head unit because it would get confused which to attach to at start.

    As a person who did not watch it, asking honestly, was “Game of Thrones” a good show, or a shared experience? No one seems to talk about it now, or want to rewatch it. Is it fair to put it in the “Lost” bin and not bother or should I consider it?

    I'm at the point where I'm going to need to lock off my rig from any updates.
    I had everything working great but upgraded from Pro to ProX and shit got slow and crashy. Back to Pro only.
    I was in this "locked off" mode for seven years until two years ago when I moved into the modern world. I guess it's better than troubleshooting my nights away.

    The Northridge earthquake is so embedded in me I flinch every time I see it's Jan 17th.

    I've crashed cars, had guns put in my face, all kinds of things, but nothing comes close to that.

    I was in the SF Valley just off Ventura. When it happened it didn't even occur to me that it was an earthquake, it felt like the building or the world was exploding. It was so loud I think I woke up screaming but my wife right next to me said she didn't hear me.

    @billyjoebowers I was working on a band's tour prep in Florida when the Northridge earthquake hit. Most of the crew that I was working with were based in LA. I remember one guy's house was a complete write-off and he had only signed the papers and closed on the sale one week before.
    Luckily, I didn't own anything at the time. So glad that I missed that one.
    I can think of half a dozen people who experienced that quake, and then immediately moved away from California.

    Circa 1992 using Pro Tools to edit a clients song. Inadvertently discovered the maximum file count on a SCSI hard drive (10,000) after working all night. File system failed and I lost all data.
