For years I’ve travelled with an external battery with an iPhone and Apple Watch cable. I just realized that the combination of the Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro’s battery life have meant I haven’t used it once in the last year.
Not sure if I’d feel comfortable not bringing it at all but a milestone to even consider it.

@_Davidsmith Every time I try to charge my watch (series 1) the battery shuts off after a couple minutes. I assume the watch doesn’t draw enough power and the battery thinks that nothing is connected. Is the trick to charge a phone at the same time?
@_Davidsmith I've had the same experience with the Ultra, but my 14 Pro (non Max) battery has been worse than my 13 Pro pretty consistently and I usually have to give it a little charge mid day. Hoping I can get to your point of not needing to charge mid day with the 15 Pro…
@_Davidsmith if you have a USB C to lightning, you could use your MacBook as a battery pack. In my experience USB is also the best way to tether a MacBook.
