@kellogh I have a "Crap 90s" Apple Music playlist I made (it actually contains a fair amount of early 00s music, in my head canon the 90s extend to ~2005) and when Creed comes on, it actually makes me a little bit angry.

Emotionally it feels like the rough equivalent of seeing someone on the street kick a dog. I'm mad, but I have no path forward in terms of acting on the anger. I just kinda seethe.

Absolutely, and their one great album is way better than a lot of bands in a similar position (that get less shit).

For some reason the songs on Cracked Rear View all having a similar sound was taken to mean they were one-note, but I mean, Gaye's What’s Going On has a musical theme throughout and no one thought he was one-note.
