Mom's recent blood tests weren't enough for liver specialist doctor to diagnose today. Her last ultrasound, combined with recent blood test results indicated some liver damage & autoimmune issues. Specialist has sent requisitions for another ultrasound & for a day biopsy at Jubilee to try to figure out cause of Mom's liver issues. She's never smoked & has maybe drank a total of 10 alcoholic drinks maximum, her entire life. Once liver issues are diagnosed, we can look at treatment options.
@QueerInTheCountry TY. Hopefully, the biopsy appointment is set up soon. That's the main testing that specialist has put as top priority & 2nd is getting new ultrasound done to compare with Mom's last ultrasound results. Dr also wants to rule out liver cancer. We had just over half hour appointment with him, this morning.
@msquebanh I hope they can do all the appointments soon and it turns out to be something very minor. It's very stressful waiting for appointments or results.
