Can I block ALL threads.net accounts here? I don't want to see those folks here. The old setup was clean, but they are now hijacking my timeline with their shity political posts. I'm here for tech, Linux, and infosec. I don't give a flying fuck about the president or anyone else from Meta's network. Go back to X or Threads. Stop hijacking this platform.
@nixCraft The fediverse itself is not anti-political though. They just have proportionally more such posts. It's the same problem you will have with the fediverse if it continues to grow.
I do wish it had an easier way of separating things. I have been considering making two different accounts just to split things up. I wish it were possible to just sort of tag (not CW!) a post as political or personal or whatever. Would be nice if it had a "type of post" field or something.
@nixCraft Fully agree. I switched to this platform for same reasons. Having ability to silcence/block accts based on own preferences should be seamless and effective.

fuck meta for integrating the fediverse
we need to ask the Mastodon developers to add RegEx support, meaning we can block ^*@threads.net$
@nixCraft Just press the 3 dots on a post from a threads user and then press block threads.net at the bottom of the pop up menu for sorting post options.
