@aetataureate hehe, animal onomatopoeias are great ^^ in french:

• dog: "ouaf"
• cat: "miaou" "ronron" (for purring)
  -duck: "coin coin coin coin" (very nasal)
• rooster: "cocorico !" (rooster being the french animal, sounds like patriotism ^^)

@aetataureate I love learning animal sounds in Japanese:

Cats: nyaa, gorogoro (purring)
Dogs: wan (barking), garuu (growling)
Ducks/geese: gua
Rooster: kokekokko (honestly kinda close to cock-a-doodle-do??)
Pigs: buu, buhi (squealing)
Frogs: kero
Mice: chuu (hence the chuu in Pikachu!)

And of course, what does the fox say (in Japanese)? Kon!

@aetataureate In German, cats say "miau", dogs "wuff" or "wau", ducks "quak" and geese "schnatter" (pronounced "shnutter"). Hope this helps! 😸🐶🦆🪿 And it still cracks me up, that in English, geese "honk", like cars. 😂
