Hey #developer folks! How do you stay motivated to work on a side project when you have limited time and it feels overwhelming to just be a solo dev trying to make something new that nobody knows / cares about yet?
@triptych Just enjoy the time you do get on it, and don't worry about the goal/destination so much. Enjoy the journey. Have fun with it.
My dev goes in bursts. I get an idea and hack on it for days. Then I'll spend some evenings gaming or reading or doing actual useful stuff around my house.
I've accepted this is my situation (2 kids 8/12 - working wife). I've learned to be happy with it. Eventually the kids will be more independent and I'll have more time. But that's not now. And that's OK.
