It would be nice to have a car. But I don't see how it's worth it where I live. We have public transportation that works and the total cost of owning car is ridiculous.
They say cars are freedom. Well, cars cost a lot of money and the higher your expenses are every month the less freedom you have, because the more of your life you have to engage in wage slavery to pay them.
@macberg I think the ultimate freedom would be to be self-sufficient, independent, just you and your body. But I guess it's probably not always quite that simple in our society. 🤔 I think a bicycle or, depending on the challenges in your life, a cargobike, can be a good compromise.
IMHO not too expensive, not useless and justifiable in terms of environmental impact as well.
