this stellar blade sexy nonsense is all over the internet... I don't seem to have much of an opinion on it though. How does everyone feel about Stellar Blade being condemned for sexy outfits while more mature games, like BG3 are praised for nudity?

@ward I'm guessing it's easier to criticize female sexiness the more typically male-gazed it is, which is often times very superficial female sexiness where there's no need for it. Like commercials and ads. In film and drama it's more acceptable (because plot?). Maybe there's a parallel to be drawn here. I don't know.

If you are well organized, it is a healthy trait. no one would say you are "on the OCD spectrum".. but when that trait gets out of hand we would say you have OCD, and likely would be diagnosed as such.

I see (autism) ASD and ADHD as much the same way. Most people diagnosed with it who are high functioning dont really have it at all. It is just a personality trait and all in all a positive one. high-functioning ASD are just people without social hangups, good. And people with ADHD who are high-functioning are largely just amazing multi-taskers.

The harm in putting people on a spectrum is they see themselves asa diseased, broken, something that needs "consideration.. they arent, in most cases in the right proportions these "diseases" are in fact just super powers, things more people should wisht hey have really.

@Anthrako Same in Sweden. You have to have a clear disability to be diagnosed with ADHD. If you're just high functioning you don't qualify for a diagnosis. @freemo

Question for you computer based music producers and virtual instrument collectors out there. If your have a couple of free beastly synths like Surge XT and Vital in your collection, what are the benefits of adding more, and seemingly simpler ones, to your collection?
My own plebish instinct is to download them all to expand my arsenal, but I'm starting to wonder what the benefit is over learning to actually fully master something like Surge.

This is one of the weirdest and most pathetic music related regulations I've ever heard of. Only music between 80-116 BPM is allowed. Sometimes conservatives really are the saddest bunch of pathetic losers in existence.

Is there a Zoom F2 equivalent that records in stereo? The F2, annoyingly enough, has a stereo jack but it only records in mono.
What I'm looking for is a miniscule recorder that records in 32 bit float and takes a stereo mini jack and provides plug-in power. With stereo monitoring of course. For some clandestine binaural field recordings.

@airwhale Yeah the H1 is a lot bigger. The size could work, but it doesn't support 32 bit recording, and if I omit the 32 bit requirement, the small F1 is the best fit. I emailed Zoom and asked if any of the F1's or F2's shortcomings could be fixed via a firmware update, but they didn't want to answer anything because I don't live in Japan. ?? Very strange.

Is there a term for the concept of switching all (or as much) of your digital life to old school text based interfaces for the purpose of reducing sensory input, convenience and dopamine traps? Is there a community for that and how many useful tools are there for that?

It would be nice to have a car. But I don't see how it's worth it where I live. We have public transportation that works and the total cost of owning car is ridiculous.

Cracked open a new fabric softener yesterday for the laundry. It smells really nice and cozy. Falling asleep last night on these clean bedsheets was a bliss. But I'm still looking for that one that I sometimes smell near laundry rooms that smells amazing. But this is a good second option.

But in my hunt for the perfect fabric softener, sadly there's a whole product line, maybe even brand, I won't buy. And it's one of the biggest, if not the biggest. Because they have pictures of babies on their bottles. I find babies very much gross, they creep me out and I don't want to look at them nor be near them. So I swiftly pass those bottles and move on. Also, wtf does babies have to do with laundry? Nothing that's what. Ruining perfectly good products for nothing. Smdh.

I think it was probably the first time I ever forgot my bag in a restaurant. 🫣 Luckily, the staff quickly noticed and took the bag behind the counter. When I picked it up the next day and read the sign, I was moved to tears. 🥹🥰

My whole life I've avoided singing, because my singing voice was terrible and my registry was like, I dunno, three notes. But the past two years or so I've started singing a bit more at home, like actually putting a little bit of effort into it. And it's fun.
