When you link to a video on here because it's good, don't forget to also post a link to your fediverse thread on that video in the comments of the video so that creators on nebula, youTube, etc. gain an awareness of the fediverse as a place where people talk about and share their work!

@futurebird I'm sort of debating with myself over this right now. I recently swore off YouTube over reversing its policy on election disinfo, but I'm wondering if I would do more good going back and campaigning to get more people posting video to the fediverse. We're not going to get a Twitter-style mass migration to PeerTube if there's almost nothing to watch on PeerTube.
I've sort of decided to make a go of making contents for PeerTube, but finding an apropriate instance for someone who doesn't yet quite know what he's doing ...

is proving difficult. I'm leaning toward Diode.zone but that's because if I post anything it's likely to be gaming-focused. I like TILVids but I'm not likely to be posting much edutainment.
@futurebird Ironically his reasoning is that there is already plenty of other social media that can be used to connect with creators and that they want to remain focused on just delivering videos without having to descend into the quagmire of comment moderation. Which, fair? But definitely has some downsides, like this.
