@Geri well in that case why is government worried about paying public servants more eg social care, NHS, and balancing books, if world as we know it is ending in 5 years. The paper/electronic money we have now will all be gone in the first flash of gamma rays. So government will depend on very local arrangements. Groups of 200 to 500 or so.

The (apparently) co-ordinated action by #Conservative MPs to call for increases in the defence budget prompts the question: How many calling for increases in defence spending are in the pay of the arms manufacturers? We know there is a "revolving door" between Whitehall and defence companies.
