@foone I have a USB-ISA bridge around somewhere that can theoretically do that (but it needs proprietary drivers for an obsolete kernel that are download restricted by a serial number I don't have)... Let's build a whole old PC out of USB! Like one of those flight simulator cockpits!

Looks like it wasn't a serial, just a download link I didn't have... I found the downloads (including special DOSBox) in a Vogons thread after looking again... Software last updated in 2013. 😌

surely it wouldn't be a real PC speaker, any more than a PS2 over usb would not have PS2 properties, because those "standards" were integrated, and mapped via bios to the right place.

It would be an incredible amount of engineering for something that was awful
