"Of the 850,000 people who are long-term sick, fully half say they have depression or anxiety," said Sunak in such a manner today that these were not real illnesses.
....

"It would be wrong to sit back and accept this growing trend."

Oh, fuck off

@Geri I’ve witnessed, first hand, the utter devastation mental ill health can cause. For this utterly shameful PM to suggest poor mental health is not to be taken seriously is a measure of just how unfit he is to hold any public office let alone the office of Prime Minister. The sooner this bunch of kleptocrats are gone the better. Albeit that Starmer is a Thatcherite, it’d be a start to get rid of the far right wing!

@Geri so they stack the system against workers. They remove workers rights. Raise inflation, cut health service, cut benefits. Blame the poor, then have the brass balls to complain about MH.

Anyone who is long term sick isn't delighted about it.

Then they have rigged the system that if you are off sick, support is so poor you will end up with anxiety or depression.

The real mental health issue is hoarding whilst your fellow human suffers

Absolute fucking cunts

@Geri for almost 2 years the Bank of England has known that Long Covid alone would impact how many people could and would be working.

How does the PM not know that?

@davidaugust @Geri Monsters. 'Economically inactive' is a monstrous term.

@linuxgnome @davidaugust @Geri the irony is that benefits paid go straight back into circulation. unlike tax evaders and offshore accounts that remove money from circulation, we benefitters actually spend actual money in actual shops.

@davidaugust @Geri with Tories, the cruelty is the point.

His "Eat Out To Help Out" probably disabled hundreds, if not thousands of people, and knowing this he's now calling them 'lazy'

Imagine being a Brit accepting this.....
