kotaro,

So I think the reason crime is not eradicated in NYC is because wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few people, and those who have that money enjoy their leisure time.
So when people who don't have jobs are wandering around, it becomes unsafe.

@kotaro
Has any society ever eradicated crime? That just seems kind of scary in a certain way, but I'm in no way approving of criminal behavior.

kotaro,

@GreenFire I may have overreacted, but it is indeed strange that there are so many violent incidents just because it is in a subway station.
There must be some stress there created by the excesses of capitalism.

@kotaro
I haven't been on a NY subway since before you were born so I'm no expert, but since our Fox "News" is reporting on NY crime pretty much every single day with scary CCTV footage I think that there may be a misperception about it they are fomenting.

Crime in the transit system is now slightly down year over year, and March saw particularly drastic declines, the NYPD announced at its quarterly crime stats press.

@GreenFire @kotaro a rule of mine is, if @FoxNews claims something as fact I automatically assume it’s a lie. I’ve caught them in so many lies that I now assume they’re just a propaganda station and nothing more

kotaro,

@FaithinBones @GreenFire @FoxNews I have no idea whether they want to glorify or discredit America.
Are they Russian agents too?

@kotaro @GreenFire @FoxNews they’re the tool of the mega wealthy. The greed of the wealthy has gotten out of hand and they’re still not satisfied. They want to use infrastructure in this country but don’t want to help pay for it. They want to eliminate public schools to dumb down the population and make them malleable. They want a dictatorship they can control

@FaithinBones @kotaro @FoxNews
I've long wondered what happened with this, but as we've recently seen, the Kremlin has quite a few FBI agents in their employ.

March 9, 201211:35 AM CSTUpdated 12 years ago (Reuters) - An FBI investigation into possible criminal violations by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp of a U.S. law banning bribery of foreign officials has expanded to include an examination of the activities of former company holdings in Russia, according to a source close to the investigation.

@GreenFire @kotaro Australia banned Murdoch from doing business there. They did it for a reason
