If I ever switch away from using an iPhone, it would cause a massive cascading
effect on nearly every part of my digital (and some physical) life.

Simply because, if I could ever bring myself to break out of Apple's walled
garden, I would want to steer clear of anything similar. I wouldn't want to just
replace everything Apple with everything Google, for example.

@chrishannah The only thing really locking me to iOS is iMessage. Whilst there are other apps I love, and I have no beef with iPhone itself (and don’t thin I’d choose anything else anyway as long as iPhone is so good), only iMessage would be a “problem” to move away from.

@john That's definitely a big factor for me, although it's getting smaller. I'm hoping RCS will remove that issue.
