I am sure there is a word in German for “disappointment that products and services you want to support end up being run by greedy assholes who fuck it up.”
Latest example for me: the Framework laptop folks taking VC money. I might as well stick with MacBooks now
@grmpyprogrammer That and the article I read about how woefully inadequate drivers and such plague many owners. I’m not looking to borrow trouble on that front.
@JustChapman The appeal for me personally is the ability to upgrade them. But of course, if they end up going down the enshittification path then it is useless to upgrade unless it all follows an open standard other companies choose to follow
