Chiming in from the 70s here.
You will want to keep upstairs and downstairs ibuprofen and acetaminophen.
Be especially careful turning over in bed. Also getting in and out of bed. Also getting up from a chair.
Curbs are higher than you remember them being.
Fear of falling is the leading predictor of whether you will fall. You will fall, it’s not an if.
Official govt definition of “fall”: unintended contact with the ground/floor.
A few weeks into my 40s I had some weird pain in a joint and mentioned it in passing to my step-mother, who said very bluntly, 'Well, you're in your 40s now, so that happens.'
I got almost verbatim the same feedback from my doctor later, very possibly about the same issue.

A few months ago, I coughed and hurt my back so bad I had to leave work early the next day so I could go home to my hot packs.
