Walked 7.5 miles and climbed 50 flights up Mount Dublin today. Our first hike with the baby (who napped the whole time in a carrier) and my first big hike since I got long COVID in September 2022. We’ve done 24 miles in the last 3 days and 6+ miles each of the two days before that.
Hard to express how happy I felt getting back out and doing that kind of exercise without having to worry that I wouldn’t be able to make it.
@sarajw I carried the food/water and some camera gear, but my wife carried the baby the whole time. She likes to say she’s been slowly building up to it for almost a year now, but it’s still incredibly impressive.
@sangster yeah definitely impressive! My knees were shot after my first pregnancy for a while, I definitely would not have managed 50 flights of stairs, even without carrying the baby 💪😅
