Going to wear a swim suit and go swimming for the first time since I came out on Wednesday. I’m nervous and excited to wear a women’s bathing suit. High waisted rockabilly vibes.
Family friends have a heated pool and they are gay. It will just be the three of us, otherwise private. My biggest concern will be visible self-harm scars, but I need to not worry about what other people think of me.
@renegadejade those are battle scars in your fight with trauma and a hostile world. They show how much you've been through and how far you've come. I understand feeling awkward about them, but if people appreciate you, they should be able to appreciate you in your wholeness 💜
Also, so happy for you! First tine i went swimming in an affirming swimsuit, i couldn't stop just looking at myself and being like - wait, this is me! In this cute swimsuit! !!!?!
